The Càirdeas 2020 Port & Wine Casks is an annual limited edition released exclusively for Friends of Laphroaig, first unveiled at Fèis Ìle 2020. It combines single malt matured in classic ex-Bourbon casks with single malt aged in second-fill Ruby Port barriques, married together and finished in red wine casks, bottled non-chill filtered at 52% ABV.

NOSE

Aromas of dark chocolate and menthol with pink peppercorns.

PALATE

Toasted peaches, charred marshmallows and a hint of plum jam, all intertwined with Laphroaig's iodine-rich peat smoke, resulting in a combination of honey-sweet taste and Laphroaig's signature medicinal smoke flavour.

FINISH

Long and lingering, with the complex port, wine and peaty smoke character persisting on the palate.
