The first-ever Port Charlotte single cask official release, distilled in 2005 from heavily peated (40 PPM) Optic barley and fully matured in a single 2nd fill Moscatel sherry cask (#2089) on Islay for 19 years. Limited to 667 bottles, bottled at cask strength, non-chill filtered and without colouring, exclusively for Fèis Ìle 2025.

A/ Official tasting notes

NOSE

Smoked cinder toffee, toasted bread and stoned fruit jam are immediate, with a hint of sea spray and warm sand; notes of tropical fruit come to the fore, with sweet melon and ripened peaches mingling with Port Charlotte's signature peat smoke, while subtle oak allows aromas of orange blossom and jasmine to build.

PALATE

Candied fruits, brown sugar and rich toasted oak with waves of peat smoke; the sweetness of the Moscatel grape is woven into the spirit's character, adding depth and complexity.

FINISH

Gentle dry peat smoke, the rich sweetness of fruit and toasted mellow oak that finishes cleanly.
