A limited-edition NAS Committee Release bottled at cask strength to commemorate the retirement of legendary Distillery Manager Mickey Heads after 13 years. It is the first Ardbeg expression ever matured wholly in ex-rye whiskey casks, non chill-filtered and of natural colour.

A/ Official tasting notes

NOSE

Smoky aromas of banana, pear, rye bread, lemon and vanilla toffee; with water, citrusy lemon and lime emerge alongside refreshing sherbet and sweet pastry.

PALATE

A spicy mouthfeel ignites a blunderbuss of fruity flavours — melon, kiwi and aniseed — tailed by smoked toffee and a distant hint of sourdough biscuits above a bed of savoury peat smoke.

FINISH

Long and lingering, with seaspray, brazil nuts and a faint gentle smoke listing on the palate.
