A limited-edition barbecue-inspired Islay single malt, created by Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden in collaboration with pitmaster Christian Stevenson (DJ BBQ). Matured in a combination of double charred oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and proprietary BBQ casks; bottled non-chill filtered at 50.9% ABV.

A/ Official tasting notes

NOSE

Puffs of charcoal and soot mingle with smoky wood and aromatic herbs and spices; treacle toffee, hickory smoked ham, and cinnamon-dusted espresso rise up.

PALATE

The mouthfeel is alive with spice — BBQ ribs smothered in chilli — followed by deep, warming smoke, flame-grilled steak, chilli oil, cured leather, and clove, with ginger, aniseed, and tar crackling on the palate.

FINISH

Massive and hot, lingering on and on with grilled artichoke, black olives, and a sooty note that slowly simmers away.
