McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt is widely regarded as the first American single malt whiskey, pioneered by founder Steve McCarthy at Clear Creek Distillery in Hood River, Oregon. It is distilled in a Holstein pot still from 100% peat-malted Scottish barley, aged three years in air-dried Oregon oak, and bottled non-chill filtered at 42.5% ABV.

NOSE

Robust and smoky with warm saddle leather and sweet tobacco on introduction, slowly reshaping into dark hazelnut butter, bergamot tea, and the lingering smoke of cold campfire embers.

PALATE

Smooth and well-balanced with a honeyed, slightly citrusy quality alongside gentle smoke and ash; hints of dried fruit, plum, and subtle sweetness complemented by light peat.

FINISH

Warm and lingering with delicate peat, honey, and a touch of oak spice.
